Cooking With Dro: Plant Based Veggie Pizza ๐Ÿ…๐Ÿ„๐Ÿ•๐Ÿฅฌ๐Ÿฅ‘

I can't believe I'll be celebrating two years of being vegan in two months! Boy, does time fly! In my vegan travels, I try my best to switch up recipes and try new foods every now and then. Recently, I began making vegan pizza. As a Chicago girl, I miss eating pizza so bad. Granted, there's Daiya's frozen pizzas, but it's not the same when it's made from scratch. Plus, I'm not a big fan of processed vegan foods at all. I may have a cheat snack every blue moon, but I cook my own food 95% of the time.

I got the recipe from Ty's Conscious Kitchen and remixed my recipe into my own ya dig. Ty uses foods and ingredients strictly based off the late Dr. Sebi's alkaline list, but I'm not quite 100% about that life right now, so I mixed in some of my own ideas.

My Ingredient List:

-Bob's Red Mill Brown Rice Flour
-Spring Water
-365 Everyday Value Organic Pizza Sauce
-365 Everyday Value Grapeseed Oil
-White Mushrooms
-White Onion
-Bell Peppers
-Spinach
-Onion Powder
-Cayenne Pepper
-Ginger
-Sage
-Turmeric
-Sea Salt
-Avocado
-Manitoba Harvest Shelled Hemp Seeds

Time:

25-30 Minutes

I followed the exact same steps Ty used in his recipe except I purchased the sauce from Whole Paycheck and did not make the nut cheese. Nonetheless, my pizza came out great. Next time, I'll be sure to make the cheese and eventually make some deep dish pizza to really express the Chicago-ness of it all. What I loved most about this pizza is how quick it was to make it. I'm sure it would take longer adding in the nut cheese making process, but this is great if you want to make something asap for din-din.

Trust and believe, plant based vegan diets don't mean you still can't eat the same foods you've eaten before. It's just remixed into a healthier version!
