Autumn is officially here and I've been extremely eager to dress up and get festive for the season! Back in 2016, I created a look called "Pumpkin Spiced Latte with Chocolate and Caramel". I rocked some faux autumn leaves in my afro and I couldn't wait to bring it back for the fall. Even though the leaves haven't quite transitioned into their orange and yellow tones yet, I've always been ahead of my time!
To start off the season, I opted for a very simple yet chic look. I'm not really into the "ugly sweaters" like that, but in celebration of all things jovial to autumn, I decided to wear a Heirloom Collectibles sweater adorned with pumpkins, roosters, squash, and all kinds of seasonal decorations. Burnt orange has always been one of my favorite autumn colors, so when I discovered this vintage Ann Taylor turtleneck sweater, I had to grab it for a fall look.
Chocolate brown compliments autumn burnt orange so perfectly, so I know my ensemble would be a big hit when I came across this pair of Calvin Klein cordorouy pants. I always break the rules when it comes to matching shoes and a purse as close as possible, but this time I wanted to actually match. My Franco Sarto deep brown ankle boots and Liz Claiborne leather bag went together so well.
To top off the look, I wore this sassy magenta scarf I snagged for 50 cents at a thrift store. I love that this added a pop of color to my look out of the brown and orange theme. Another reason I love autumn is because now I can snap on more makeup looks! No need to worry about makeup melting off my face like in the autumn. Plenty more looks to come also, product details below.
