Just last week I was enjoying some old episodes of Sister Sister, one of my favorite shows from the late 1990's. I felt so much nostalgia watching and couldn't help but to smile. I loved me some Tia and Tamera. For those of you who are fans of throwback television show reboots and revivals, especially Sister Sister fans, the show featuring identical Mowry twins is in the works of a reboot.

Jackee Harry who played Lisa Landry, Tia's witty fashion designer adoptive mother, went on Steve Harvey's talk show last week and revealed a reboot is in the works. Watch her reveal the details in the video below:

For the past couple of years, there have been a lot of rumors about a possible Sister Sister reboot. Tamera Mowry who is a hostess on daytime talk show The Real also confirmed that a revival is in the works although it's not 100% set in stone.

According to the twin, the cast in on board, everyone has signed contracts, but they're still looking for a network. Once a premiere date is set, the actress promised to be the first to share the dets.

Although I've grown weary of reboots, revivals, unnecessary part two sequels of movies from the 1990's (The Man Holiday), I'm actually looking forward to this. The magic of watching it in the late 1990's wont be the same, but I'm willing to give it a shot. Hollywood writers and producers seem to be running out of ideas, but nostalgia seems to be what people are gravitating towards in this current era.

Television shows from the 1990's and early 2000's like Roseanne, Full House, and That's So Raven have garnered their own 2010's era reboots. There's even been talk of the casts of the shows Living Single, Family Matters, and Moesha possibly creating revival shows. It would be great to see what these fictional characters have been up to for the past couple of decades, but let's not get too carried away with the reboots to the point they're ran in the ground!
