Gold Olympic medalist Gabby Douglas has teamed up with the Black woman owned cosmetics brand Beauty Bakerie to create a set of sumptuous lip whips.

The lip whips come in a set of five different shades called; Cherry Flambé, Triple Berry Mousse, Hazelnut Swirl (Metallic), Sangria Splash, and Plum Sorbet.

Beauty Bakerie was founded by Cashmere Nicole, a single mother and survivor of breast cancer. Cashmere's whimsical, kawaii, dessert themed makeup brand was inspired by her love for makeup artistry and the brand's motto "Be Better, Not Bitter". Every makeup item is named after a sweet treat that will be sure to make your mouth water.

The lip whips from Gabby's collection were designed by the champion herself. Here's what she had to say about the collaboration:

I am so excited about this partnership with Beauty Bakerie! Being Better not Bitter is very similar to my personal motto, ‘Hard days are the best because that's when champions are made.’ It's easy to allow negativity or hard circumstances to keep you from chasing your dreams.  However, it is very important that you always stay positive and surround yourself with others who share the same mindset. I have actually always wanted to have a lipstick line also, so this partnership fits together in many ways!  I'm honored to be able to partner with a brand that has an amazing product.- Gabby Douglas via Beauty Bakerie

Here's what Cashmere said about the collab:

Signing Gabby on as a creative partner aligns on a deeper level to Beauty Bakerie's foundation. I heard the word, "no" so often, especially being a teenage mother and when people recited their statistics to me, I was told that I wouldn't graduate high school or earn a college degree. There was only one Voice I listened to. I focused on that and never looked back. I see this in Gabby. Both beauty AND confidence; drive AND determination. She's got it. It makes her such a force to be reckoned with.- Cashmere Nicole, CEO of Beauty Bakerie via Beauty Bakerie
This collaboration sounds like a delicious work of Black girl magic! The set of five lip whips retails at $80 and you can purchase it on the Beauty Bakerie website.
