Nas-Produced "Street Dreams" TV Series Coming To BET

Everyone's favorite emcee, Nasir "Nas" Jones will be executive producing a television series based off his life titled Street Dreams. Street Dreams is inspired by Nas' single off of his second album It Was Written (my second favorite album of his after Stillmatic) and will carry a biographical theme based on his upbringing and career. Of course the series will be set in the early 1990's in the Queensbridge projects of New York City showcasing the life of a young man who excels from drug dealing to emceeing and adulthood according to Deadline.

The series is still in the works, but will definitely be aired on BET, who just had amazing ratings with the New Edition Story last week. The series will be directed and written by Johnathan Levine. Because of the amazing work BET has done with the NES film series, and Nas executive producing the project, I think this will be a big hit.

Will you be tuning in to Street Dreams when it airs?
